Adrien Art
Art Teapot Surreal Face Sculpture in Relaxation, Dream On
"As a visual artist, I value beauty that brings well-being. A lot of my work arises from merging my love for sculpting and painting the human form with my love for making things that feel good to use in daily living. I love drinking tea from hand made wares, and I find that by making such wares artfully, the experience of using them is deepened and enhanced. The majority of the ceramic work I produce is made from recycled clay. I salvage scraps and dried out blocks from various studios that otherwise would be tossing good clay into the dump. By recycling this abandoned clay, I am able to build a relationship with it while I'm mixing and wedging it, so that I get to know it very well before I even start to make anything with it. I focus on faces and bodies because they clearly express and reflect a specific state of being. It is my main intention to bring calmness, happiness, joy, and peace into peoples lives through my work, and these are the expressions and the energy I put into what I do. In 2007 I recieved my BFA from California College of Arts and Crafts with an individualized major in sculpture, painting, and photography. After college I took a 10 day silent vipassana meditation course that brought about a major wholesome transformation, and continues to influence my work as a human being and artist. I began Teaching ceramics, excited about educating others about the fine art potentials of clay, yet some of my students only wanted to learn the wheel, so I began practicing in order to help them learn, and I got hooked! As a painter/sculptor/photographer showing in galleries, I find these functional crafts to be an exciting venture in merging the affordable and functional, with the transcendent and artistic. My studio generally always has a few long term sculptures and paintings in progress, balanced by a steady flow of functional ware being turned out."

Jennifer Davis Art
screen print - Fruit
"Making art is a daily ritual for me. I enjoy painting everyday and get a deep satisfaction from sharing my work with other people. For me, painting is a vehicle for expressing my most personal thoughts and ideas. I am trying to communicate things that are often unspoken and private but commonly human. I started selling original paintings and collages on Etsy in 2006 and added limited edition prints in 2010. In addition to selling work via my Etsy shop, I regularly exhibit my work in shops and galleries throughout the U.S. and beyond."

Celebration - Forest Series 1/4 - porcelain assemblage
"I am a Japanese living in Australia for a quite long time now. Mother of a 3 y.o. girl. I received B. Visual Arts(1st Class Hon) from University of Sydney majoring Object Art and Design in Ceramic Studio. I won a travel scholarship and studied in Germany as an exchange student in my 4th year. Later I studied Architecture but did not complete the degree. I have always been creating with hands yet I worked in a non-creative office environment for many many years. I now work with small children. Only recently I started to produce artworks to sell. It is such a big pleasure for me to be making art and connecting with other creative people around the world."

Janet Hill Studio

A Mystery Lady- Open Edition Print
"Janet Hill discovered her passion for painting as a teenager. With the support of her family and teachers, Janet earned a degree in Fine Art from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where she specialized in oil painting and graduated with honors. Following graduation, she spent several years working in fields unrelated to art. Deeply missing her creative life, she decided to take a leap of faith and paint full-time. She has never looked back.
Janet enjoys painting the beauty of women, interiors, and still-life. Her choice of subject matter ranges from a duchess satin gown to a humble bowl of cereal. She seeks out glamour and beauty in everything that surrounds her. Her work is displayed in private collections throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Some of Janet's corporate clients include Tiffany & Co., American Greetings, and Harper Collins. Her work has also been featured on Design Sponge, This Is Glamorous, The Neo-Traditionalist, and Oh Joy! Janet lives in the beautiful city of Stratford, Ontario, Canada. She paints in a small in-house studio where she lives with her husband John, and their cat and dog."

Scottie Archival Print
"I live in Vermont in a very beautiful, but moody climate. Half of the year is pastoral and like a dream. The other half can be trying. The season changes are charming and interesting, but winter could stand to let up a little earlier than she does.
I have always been artistic, and as a child, drew page after page of girls with different outfits on, and animals in clothes(inspired by Beatrix Potter of course). But it took me years and years to know myself well enough to pick up a paintbrush and let my imagination flow through the paint.
Watercolors really grew on me and I loved the way the flow of ideas from my head and heart flowed directly onto the paper. Watercolors are interesting in that you have to become friends with the water, work WITH it, corral it into doing what you want it to do on the paper.
I recently had a children's book published with my illustrations. It was published by a Vermont Publisher, Radiant Hen, http://www.radianthen.com.
The book is entitled "Ninny Nu's Organic Farm" and all of the characters are animals. It tells a story about how bigger is not always necessarily better. :)
I am so thankful for a venue like Etsy. Every day, I am inspired and amazed by the creative minds I see at work here.
When I am not painting, packing orders or curating treasuries on Etsy (the closest I'll ever get to being a museum curator), I am entertaining and playing with my two nutty poodles, Olin and Izzy, and my sometimes nutty husband, John :) I like running, gardening, art, food, wine, and funny people:)
I hope you enjoy my work. I try to convey my love of animals and maybe inspire others to love them as I do :) "

Guides V2 - 8X10
"Since winning second prize in the Manchester Evening News colouring-in competition at age 24, Chris Waind has never looked back. He has lost his mind in London, broken his bones in Vancouver and burned his skin in New Zealand. A graphic designer and illustrator by training, Chris’ work encompasses film, photography, collage and traditional fine art practices. Most recently, he has turned his attention to Etsy to offer a selection of artwork prints, and maybe other visual delights in the near future.
Chris likes painting, drawing, filming, calligraphy, collecting, aquariums, lomography and his orange surfboard (which rarely leaves his garage). Some of his favorite achievements have been creating a small dictionary compiled purely of words he hates (highlights include 'Kudos', 'Snuggle', and the phrase '...it was a lovely spread.'), and his sketchbook where he chronicles a lonely whale, an obese cat, a mission from god, coconut bras, the mourning of a crab, seal attacks, white trash, 50 clicks, a book of thoughts, and some things that are true."

Summoning.
"♥ My real name is Schin Loong but I have also been painting under the artist name Luciole Loong from 1998 to 2007. Therefore some of my art bear the signature Luc or Luciole. Some may recognize my art from luciole.deviantart.com, the art portfolio site where I first developed my work.
♥ I have three black moor goldfishes named Moon, Star and Scrimshaw. They're making a plan to escape, I know it.
♥ I also have a grey kitty named Rice Purridge, and SHE'S making an even more elaborate plan to get at the goldfishes. I know this too.
♥ One of my favorite things are lava lamps. Actually, most of my creative powers come from the magical lava lamp blobs. Shh.. don't tell anyone.
BIO: My name is Schin Loong and I have been painting professionally since I was 17. My fantasy artwork has been featured on the front cover of The Peppertree Magazine and ImagineFX: Fantasy & Sci-Fi Art as well as the Society of Illustrators and Exotique 5 & 6: The World's Most Beautiful CG Characters, Popcorn: One The Cutting Edge of Comics Art, Darkstalkers Artbook, Digital Arts and Digital Artists Magazine.
I started painting my Barbie dolls as a young child. I thought it was pretty neat and decided that's what I want to do forever, and I never looked back. I use a combination of watercolors, pastels and digital media to create my artwork. Each painting takes me anywhere from one day ('The Red Geisha') to two weeks ('The Ascension') to complete.
The objective of my painting is so I could offer something beautiful to the world. I wanted to paint the most inspiring, gentle, lovely scenes for people to ponder at and hopefully make their day a little more beautiful. I have a wide variety of subjects in my work because as I grow up, my aesthetic for beauty has changed. In this shop, you can see both my new and old art styles and see how I have evolved as an artist.
Inspiration is everywhere, it’s just a matter of recognizing it. Music, colors, texture, facial expressions; all kinds of beautiful things are inspirational. However, I think I have grown to love feminine aesthetics most of all. Anything that is soft, gentle and curvy is really stimulating for me and I love to paint the beauty that is woman."

The Haunted Hollow Tree

walking the earth - original mixed media pyrography painting
"My name is Lauren and I am 30 years old and live in Southeastern Pennsylvania. My main focus hovers between pyrography work and mixed media paintings. I have an absolute unshakable love for figurative work and find myself always drawn back to the study of the human form. I have been self studying art for 8 year now, and while I have considered attending art courses in the past (and a few years ago would have jumped at the opportunity) I am now at a point where I really embrace the process of working without influence.
I love to collect things as well, especially art! I have two small children so I am also very into crafting and home decor. When I am not working here in my art shop you can also find me over at http://saysthetree.etsy.com which is the home to the craftier side of my work."

Polka Dot Parisienne"A little about me:I'm a photographer and painter living in Tucson, Arizona with my partner and son.We lived in NYC for eleven years which was absolutely fabulous, but Tucson has it's charms as well. One of the great things about living here is the wonderful community of artists and the plethora of swimming pools! Don't love the 110 heat in the summer, though, I really prefer cloudy, windy days. I was born in France and have lived in many places including Hawaii, Maryland, Phoenix, Germany, California, New York and now back to Tucson. I travel to Paris whenever possible and hope to one day spend my summers there.
A little about my work: I am a passionate artist, very much influenced by cinema and old family photos. I love to take a memory or impression and reshape it into a lovely vision. I love going to wonderful museums and interesting gallery exhibtions."

Mermaid Original Painting
"Hi, I'm Cris Melo.Self-taught. I just paint and let the viewers continue the story. Often, people tell me a narrative while looking at my work. The expressions on the faces, colors - it helps to create a fantasy in their minds. I like that a lot. Naive, Primitive, Contemporary Folk, Outsider, Cartoonish - have been used to define my style.I tend to paint small but I'd love to do more large canvases. I always say this but rarely follow up. They keep coming out small. I paint in acrylics and watercolors, for the most part; I also use crayons, color pencils, gel pens, etc.I also create one-of-a-kind dolls, ornaments and other items from fabric, all or partly-handmade. I love beads, glitter, shiny things and embroidery."

"there she goes" original acrylic painting
"I am a working artist living just outside Paso Robles, California. I have spent my life studying and pursuing many ways of creating. I have found that creating is something that I am JUST drawn to do. I work in many forms of media from painting and photography to knitting. I may work in a series or just feel the need to explore a subject for curiosity.
My images are expressive and colorful. I use top quality artists materials in all my creations. Acid-free papers or fine stretched canvases are always used as platforms for my paintings and drawings.
Schemata.etsy.com is my other shop found on Etsy; it is where you can find my hand knits and other seasonal fine crafts. If you are in the area, much of my work can be seen at The Art Works in Paso Robles. In addition a selection of my original paintings and prints are available at ALTAMIRA Gallery, New York."
