Helga McLeod

Original painting acrylic, watercolor and ink girl in white dress with fire flies and light bubbles
"A born Namibian and natural-born nomad, I finally sunk my roots in the heart of the Free State, Bethulie, South Africa where I share my home with my wonderful man and two of the world’s greatest kids, 1 fat cat and 1 scary cat.
I have been into art and the creation of it since I could hold anything in my fist, mouth or toes and co-owned an art gallery in the 90’s while I had art training. Then followed my studies in horticulture and after that a combination of painting outside, painting the outside or painting a landscape through planting. I am naturally a nature and creation junky.
I often paint in mixed media but also love watercolours."

I love to travel, and many of my art pieces are inspired by the places I have been. I have even been told that they invoke a "sunny, relaxing feeling" which I hope you will find to be true.
I am passionate about my art, and hope you will enjoy it as well."

The Haunted Hollow Tree

walking the earth - original mixed media pyrography painting
"My name is Lauren and I am 30 years old and live in Southeastern Pennsylvania. My main focus hovers between pyrography work and mixed media paintings. I have an absolute unshakable love for figurative work and find myself always drawn back to the study of the human form. I have been self studying art for 8 year now, and while I have considered attending art courses in the past (and a few years ago would have jumped at the opportunity) I am now at a point where I really embrace the process of working without influence.
I love to collect things as well, especially art! I have two small children so I am also very into crafting and home decor. When I am not working here in my art shop you can also find me over at http://saysthetree.etsy.com which is the home to the craftier side of my work."
