Blythe clothes

Hello! I just wanted to brag about this newest Blythe outfit that I made. I listed it on etsy and it sold almost within the hour! You can be sure that I will be making more of these, in different colors and patterns!!
the dress: the skirt is black and white striped, a striped ruffle layer and a black white white polka dot ruffle layer, accented with black lace. The bodice is white eyelet fabric, lined in white cotton. vintage lace is sewn down the front, with 4 small black buttons, and a black bowtie with a vintage black button & pearl in the center.
the jacket: made of felt, the collar is folded back and held with tiny black buttons (a little bigger than on the front of the dress). The sides are small and don't cloes together, so that the vintage lace of the bodice and peak over the top. The same vintage lace is sewn to inside of the cuffs to look as though it is a long-sleeved shirt. the back of the jacket has a fake corset embroidered in white, long ribbon.
the headband: 3 sizes of yo-yos are sewn to a thin piece of black felt with a tiny piece of velcro on each end to hold it together. the center yo-yo is the largest in the same striped fabric as the skirt, accented with the same vintage button and pearl as in the bowtie; the next two are the same black with white polka dots as the last ruffle on the skirt, accented with white ribbon roses; the outer yo-yos are, again, the striped fabric, accented with 2 beads.

Jersey and Cap for Taeyang

I had a custom order for Taeyang clothes recently and I wanted to show off a part of it. Here is a photo of a jersey and cap that I made, and the referance photos that I was to go by. I was so happy with how each of them turned out! Made from real jersey fabric and felt.

"The Shinning" Twins Dal Dresses & In Memory of Casey

I painted another dog portrait this week. This is a family's dog, named Casey, who recently passed away. I wanted it to be a "memorial" painting, that's why the background has soft colors & stars. Can't you picture him lying in a grass field in doggie heaven?

A girl in Sweden had 2 Dals that are the same. She wanted identical dresses that are a reproduction of the dresses that the twins from "The Shinning" wear. These dresses took quite awhile to sew because of the fabric & had to be handsewn. I love the results and am looking forward to seeing them on my client's matching dolls. I love sewing custom clothes ^_^

Traditional Japanese Owl Tutorial

1. The pattern: Enlarge or shrink, depending on what size you want your owl.

2. Cut out pattern, using 2 different fabrics.

3. Put right sides together and sew up the left side, just to the top of the smaller piece. 4. Move the unsewn edge of the smaller fabric to the edge of the larger fabric. It helps to pin them in place. Sew up the seam, right to the tip of the larger fabric.
5. Turn right-side out.

6. Put a straight pin through the fabric at the top of the belly.

7. Stuff the owl then sew embroidery floss in a loose stitch around the bottom.
8. Pull string tight and tie in a knot., then remove straight pin.
9. Cut out 2 colored felt circles, and 2 smaller white felt circles.
10. Fold over the point, then sew the tip of the beak to the owls belly.11. Attach the two circles of colored felt with the same colored thread. 12. Pull a dark thread through the center of the colored felt, and through the center a circle of white felt (smaller than the colored).13. Poke your needle in the colored felt and through the center of the white felt.14. Pull through to make a "loop" on the white felt.15. Loop all the way around the white felt.

16. Add a dark bead to the center.

17. Attach the second eye & you are finished! You could also add a triangle of yellow or orange felt to the end of it's beak, if desired.

Art Journal Tip-in Page , Mermaid

A tip-in page for a friend to add to her art journal. I love mermaids and painting them, so I had to do one for her as she love the seashore, too. I'm not thrilled with how the "waves" came out, but I think you get the general idea.
