Mocahete
Sterling Silver Musical Bell Flower Earrings - Sterling Silver Bell Earrings - Artisan Jewelry
"Mocahete is a design team of two, Sabrina and Dante. Progenitor and progeny, working from our studio in rural South Georgia. Everything in our shop is a collaboration from design through fabrication. A melange of ingredients go into our work. Materials often consist of wonderfully juxtaposed ingredients that combined, create most unusual one of a kind pieces. The whole is much greater than the sum of its parts. Our favorite metals include copper and silver. Copper is hypoallergenic, like its sister metals--gold and silver. Evidence of copper being used as adornment has a history that dates back to 10,000 years. For great information about copper and its many benefits, health and otherwise, please visit:copper.org Sterling silver is a standard in many of our designs. We make our earwires and findings. When beads are needed they are selected from an ever increasing assortment, from lush gemstones, tribal beads, precious metals, wonderful vintage, antique collectible trade beads, plus many more. We mix all of this up with ingenuity, creativity and skilled artistry to bring you exuberant, passionate jewelry that will delight you for years to come. Do you hear a different drummer?"

lynn cobb
silver castle ring, two towers, two turrets, made in america
"I will start by saying how thrilled and honored I am to be named a finalist in the prestigious Saul Bell Design Award competition for 2011, sponsored by Rio Grande. I have been designing fine silver jewelry using metal clay for several years and I just love it! Metal clay is a fantastic medium which, after firing in a kiln, is .999% silver or 22karat gold. The silver is made from partially recycled silver! My background in fine art painting and designing polymer clay jewelry made my transition to metal clay a natural. I am inspired by the natural world, sea life, organic flowing abstract forms and even architectural structures in my "Castles and Huts" ring series. I also teach classes to students around the San Francisco Bay Area. I am a Certified PMC Artisan, Level 2 and am currently working toward the Metal Clay Masters Registry professional development program. Coming full circle, recently, I have been "painting" on the silver by adding vitreous enamel to the fired silver for a splash of color which really pops on the silver! My work has appeared in Metal Clay Beads by Barbara Becker Simon, Jewelry, the 'zine by Catherine Witherell (see her wonderful jewelry at her HappyDayArt etsy store) and in Mixed Metal Jewelry, a Lark book due out in Spring, 2010. You can also find me at www.lynncobbsilver.com and at fine craft shows around the San Francisco Bay Area."

SASessories
"Since the birth of my daughter Jubilee (9 days shy of the millenium), I have been in business for myself....
co-founder of a childcare center & preschool, owner of vintage clothing exchange boutique, and making jewelry & accessories on and off since before my daughter was born...it hasn't been easy to invest in several new businesses over the years as a single mom.... so here i would like to take the opportunity to thank my very supportive family, they have always been there for me, encouraged my dreams & loaned me money when i couldn't get any...Most recently I have been influenced by my hometown, Butte Montana, 'the copper city', very key in ushering in the 'age of technology', our copper mine is currently in operation... but more than anything, i think the best art is what nature has done over time!!! i love degraded, decomposed, reconstructed, reclaimed, rusted, raw & gritty...Other inspirations include but are not limited to, modern and simple, natural and organic, dark and industrial, retro and funkadelic, vintage and classic, futuristic and spacey, harajuku and outrageous..... basically art that is worn...."
