cyndie smith designs

"I'm a former health care exec who gave it all up to play with metal. It's a continuing learning experience! I let the metal tell me what it wants to do and the results are very interesting.
All my pieces are unique. I love big, organic, bold designs and I want them to make a statement about the woman who wears them. She's confident, loves adventure, and dares to be different.
Because they are my personal artistic expression, it's difficult to duplicate any one piece exactly as another. I love the fact that because it's handmade and different, it doesn't look like it came from the mall. And no one else will have one like it! It gives me great pleasure to know someone is wearing and loving my creations!"

Andie's Specialty Sweets

Edible Sugar Fall Leaves 50
"Andie's Specialty Sweets takes the greatest care in producing superb, handmade, sugar decorations, sculpted marzipan, & decorated cookies. All products are made-to-order & shipped directly from our studio in California. Our clients consist of brides, cake decoraters, caterers & home bakers. Look for more choices in the near future. We plan to introduce a new item each season. Please feel free to contact us regarding a custom order! Our made from scratch sugar embellishments can take up to two weeks to dry, and need to be made well in advance of the cake decorating event. We also like to suggest placing your order no later than 3 months before your event so we can give you utmost priority. All of our cake decorations are made to order. We want your special event to be fresh in every way right down to every detail. Our decorations can be temporarily stored in airtight containers, in a cool, dark place before used/consumed. We suggest having them delivered 6 weeks prior to your event to prevent any staleness. They will keep indefinitely (if storing a wedding cake topper) away from heat or moisture, which can soften them. Heat, humidity and refrigeration can all soften sugar decorations, even after they've set. Placing flowers on buttercream frosting, which contains fat, can also soften them. All of our sugar flowers are coated with FDA approved edible paints, and our decorations are "glued" together with safe reconstituted pasturized egg whites and or royal icing. We will always let you know if any part or the whole of any decoration should not be consumed. Also, our other JOY is designing your dream wedding or special event cake. All our cakes are given the same attentiveness as our cake embellishments and we delight in the process. And all of our cakes our made with the utmost superb quality ingredients: fresh creamery butter, pesticide and herbacide free citrus and fruit from local organic farmers, organic and RBST free dairy, and American artisan chocolate."

emily balivet

"Awakening"
"Mythological Goddess Art of Emily Balivet. Emily Balivet is an entirely self-taught, freelance colorist who has been producing art in the style of figurative realism for 18 years. Her work includes numerous commissions and hangs in private collections and galleries worldwide. Her paintings explore the mystical feminine elements of ancient goddess mythologies from around the world in a style which reflects a particular fascination with the pre Raphaelite and Art Nouveau movements. She also draws inspiration from the natural world, including both her native Vermont and Alaska, where she spent seventeen years. Presently living in the heart of Vermont, Emily's creativity extends beyond the easel and into the creation of women's and children's apparel, furniture, and wooden toys. Her painting continues to probe the metaphysical nature of reality as it expands into new formats, such as her latest large-scale endeavor: the creation of a tarot deck."

"About Me: I am Creative. Its the best way to describe myself. My husband thinks I have OCD – Obsessive Creative Disorder. Everything has to be creative, my food, my house, my books, my music, the packed lunches..you get the drift. I love creating and have lost track of how many handmade gifts I have made and given through the years.
I am a Master’s in Cell Biology and always dreamt of doing research. I gave it up when I had my first child. In the ensuing years I took to looking at my other passion - creating. For 10 years now I have worked on various mediums including pottery painting, folk art and interiors. I moved to Australia nearly 2 years back and thats when I came across jewelry making. Then I discovered Etsy and I felt like I had come home. To be among people who are so creative is just amazing. My hobby has finally turned out into a full time business.
I am inspired by life. I love books, music, ancient history, anything that tells a story. I am a Cancerian, so like a little crab I hoard all the positive energy I get out of these and then input it into my creations. I want to share them with you, give you the same joy it gives me creating them. Every piece is created with complete commitment and passion. Each piece is passed through my harshest critics, My Family. So I can actually call this a family Business :) . But over and above that I am my harshest critic and my biggest completion. My aim is always to learn from Yesterday, absorb Today and be better Tomorrow.
Here you will find an eclectic mix of fashion, modern and vintage jewelry. Jewelry truly on the go for anywhere and anytime."

"My name is Daniel Allyn Lee. I'm an artist and designer lost in the woods of Western Wisconsin. I've been working on making plush dolls and other various art and design projects for the past few years. Although, my background is in the fine arts, I've always been inspired by a variety of cartoons, comics and video games. I’m most happy when working on a creative project, sewing, painting, drawing, etc… I love thinking up ideas for fun new creatures, goofy monsters and crazy characters. I enjoy letting my imagination loose in the world of fantasy; inventing adventures for an assortment of heroes, elves, monsters and evil villains; and so, I hope you do too."

KimsCraftyApple

"I am currently a stay-at-home-mom of two small baby girls, recently retired from my full time job as a civil engineer. I have been creating things my entire life and whenever possible, I choose to make my own instead of buying something. The name of my store comes from the fact that I am part of a family-owned and operated apple orchard. When I first started dating my now-husband, his family let me display my jewelry in the apple store. It went over better than I ever expected and I have continued to create things to sell during the apple season. I am also proud to sell a few items made by mother-in-law, Diane, and my sister-in-law, Karma. I lucked out when I married into an extremely talented family! The long-arm quilting on many of the quilts you see here was done by my aunt-in-law, Barb, from www.QuiltsbyBarb.etsy.com. Make sure you check out her shop for more amazing quilts!"

heather f williams

"Blair"
"Heather Williams is an emerging painter, photo-based artist and jewelry designer living and working in Ontario Canada. She has received her BFA Honours degree from York University in Toronto Ontario in 2009.
Heather’s most current and ongoing series entitled “The Girls” is a collection of medium sized mixed-media paintings depicting imaginative women characters. Heather has developed a romantic quality to her paintings that capture a dream-like world in which only these characters live. Each painting tells a story and enables the viewer to take part in its narrative. Heather’s other series reflects more abstract qualities. Some of her references are floral patterns and vintage fabrics creating a unique and layered experience that expresses glamour and fashion. These two series are often conjoined in certain pieces.
Heather is greatly influenced by shape, form and colour as well as the experimentation of different materials on canvas. She incorporates paper, gold leaf and crystals in her paintings creating a tactile experience for her viewers. It is easy to see how her creative process as a jewelry designer and interest in fashion translates onto her canvases."

sarah hickey

"I launched my jewellery business in 2006 while living in New York and studying jewellery design in Manhattan. After recently returning to my native North East England I now work from my studio in rural Northumberland where I live with my husband, my toddler Miles and my baby Juliette.I design pieces in Rolled Gold/Gold Filled and Sterling Silver inspired by organic forms and delicate craftsmanship; I also regularly create bespoke pieces on commission. I studied for my degree in Art History in London before I learnt the art of jewellery craftsmanship, and it is my love of art that regularly informs my work, to me my pieces are my art.My work offers a unique and feminine aesthetic. I go to great lengths to source beautiful and unique stones which are faceted by hand. My work entails a lot of hand hammering and intricate wire wrapping. My customers are astute individuals with a great eye for detail and love of the little things that are truly beautiful in life."

surf and sand jewelry design

"Growing up in Southern California, specifically Newport Beach,I have always had a love of the ocean.Having a bay on one side and the ocean on the other of a small spit of land I grew up on meant being surrounded by water.I moved to Hawaii when I was 18 and spent almost 20 years there. (Once again surrounded by water)I can't imagine not being able to see and smell the ocean every day of my life.My love of family brought me back to Newport Beach where I currently live.
Being a creative person by nature,I began making jewelry while in high school, then became employed as a silversmith.I love making beautiful things.Making jewelry is like meditation for me.I loose all track of time.I don't need food, water or sleep.I just need to create.
Putting my two loves together, ocean inspired colors and materials, and jewelry making, has brought me to create the pieces you see here. They keep me calm, centered and help relieve the stress of a full-time job and life in general.
I hope that when you wear one of my pieces, you feel that same sense of serenity that I feel creating it."

cara cascio design's

"I have been interested in jewelry design since I worked in jewelry sales for almost seven years. I sold fine jewelry, but was always more fascinated by colored gemstones rather than diamonds which the public seemed to favor. After changing jobs, I began to dabble in jewelry design, and for the past three years have fine-tuned my skills by self-learning and taking the odd class here and there. My ultimate goal was to be able to use my skills to create the designs I envisioned in my head, and I am now happy to say that I have achieved it. I am inspired by different textures, color combinations, opacities, shapes and sizes of stones to create a pleasing conction, always using the contrast between light and dark to add depth. My materials are mostly sterling silver, all-natural brass, and gold-filled findings, as well as any and all colored gemstones, glass beads and crystals that I can get my hands on. I hope that my pieces inspired you as they have me."
