uncorked

Wine Cork Board - It's a Cupcake War - upcycled by Uncorked
"Welcome to Uncorked™ the most fantabulous cork jewelry on the planet - handmade by Cat Ivins of Olive Bites Studio. YIPPEE - I was Etsy's featured seller on 9/9/9 - My interview is here I am a mad scientist mom living life uncorked and out of the test tube at the beautiful Jersey shore. I seek to repurpose sustainable materials in unique and beautiful ways and leave the lightest possible footprint in my wake! Cork is the bark of the cork oak tree. My cork is grown in managed forests in Portugal where the bark is carefully harvested, once every nine years, in a centuries-old tradition with hand tools and without fertilizers or pesticides; a process that ensures the forests will remain undamaged! Stop by my other shop celebrating the amazing magnet: http://polarity.etsy.com Check out my blog at http://www.olivebites.blogspot.com for great eco tips, weekly giveaways, updates and shop sales! Buy your wine with cork stoppers and support the cork forests and the people of Portugal! (please note winery label names shown on wine cork pieces may vary from what you receive as all wine cork jewelry is made to order - some corks are labeled with writing on the sides of the corks and some on the cork ends) I currently recycle cork for many bars and restaurants at the Jersey shore and you can always send cork to me for reuse or recycle- just convo me for details! Please note: Etsy is not a place to find ideas to copy or imitate. I take my intellectual property seriously as it is my livelihood. Please do not recreate any portion of the copyrighted or trademarked material in my shop. I have taken the time and energy to produce original work and I encourage other artists to do the same. Thank you for understanding. xo"

showdiva designs STUNNING Distressed Red Leather Military Inspired Coat Asymmetrical Ruffles
"I have been designing clothes and purses since a child, I eat, breathe, sleep and drink designing and simply making my world and yours a more beautiful place. My passion for bags started when I was around 15 years old (1969) I went to a very artsy place in Saginaw Michigan. I walked into a tiny leather goods store that carried the most unusual handbags I had ever seen, the artist was sitting there with his hair down to his waist working away....the craft and artistry stole my heart. There was a bag that made my knees buckle, so much that it brought tears to my eyes...it was 3,000.00. There was no way I could get it...but I could not get it out of my mind. When i got home from holiday I immediately ran to my closet and took my favorite and only black leather coat and tore it apart and figured out how to make the bag I wanted so bad...that was the beginning of my creating of the unusual. BUT most importantly when I make pieces for people I want them to have that same feeling of knees buckling when they open the box and see their bag/coat/boots I created for them....as I did when I walked into that little store that altered my life. Always remember...you will get special prices on I dabble in everything from stained glass to painting, but my heart is fashion. I also love to recreate the old as well, nothing can be thrown away if you can see it in a different light and I always can. My goal is to make you happy and feel like 5 million dollars when you wear one, two or three of my pieces. One thing for sure you will constantly be stopped and asked "where did you get that" when you are donning one of my creations! I look forward to meeting and hopefully dressing you! x0x0x "

nashpop

coral pink ceramic figurines
"Hi! We are Evey + Sara, and together we make nashpop. Our shop is filled with a quirky mix of kitschy items sure to add a pop of color to any room in your home. nashpop began when two friends, Sara + Evey, found themselves living in the same city again. Both are addicted to thrift shopping, full of creative energy and oh so artistically inclined. They decided to join forces and thrift unique + rejected housewares. You know, those cheesy cat ceramics and fugly picture frames. The misfits are hand-painted in fresh pop colors, and reborn as one of a kind home decor. Evey's personal shop, filled with mixed media art and zines, can be found @http://www.etsy.com/people/eveyinorbitshop and her thrift shop is @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/thriftonica Sara's personal shop, filled with original photography, can be found @http://www.etsy.com/people/inwardupward"

Elizabeth Pawle illustration

badger brooch - by elizabeth pawle
"I'm Elizabeth Pawle, an illustrator living near the coast in Suffolk, England with my husband, baby son and dog. I work mainly in ink using a dip pen alongside pencil, pastels and acrylic paints. Bears, cabins and mountains appear regularly in my work, which is strange as I've never seen a bear and I don't like the cold. In 2010 I exhibited a relief print in the Summer Exhibition 2010 at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. My work is also available in galleries and design shops in the UK and overseas. Please get in touch if you like my work - or just to say hello!"

Jennifer Davis Art

screen print - Fruit
"Making art is a daily ritual for me. I enjoy painting everyday and get a deep satisfaction from sharing my work with other people. For me, painting is a vehicle for expressing my most personal thoughts and ideas. I am trying to communicate things that are often unspoken and private but commonly human. I started selling original paintings and collages on Etsy in 2006 and added limited edition prints in 2010. In addition to selling work via my Etsy shop, I regularly exhibit my work in shops and galleries throughout the U.S. and beyond."

All Things Granny

Octopus Baby Blanket Granny Square
"All Things Granny came to be out of a love for crochet design, and a need to bring the traditional granny square design into the 2000's with the use of color and other embellishments. I have enjoyed working with clients to make heirloom quality merchandise that adds that extra special touch to their baby's nursery, and also to the baby's first photo session. My husband Bruce is an integral part of All Things Granny. Besides being the support system that guides me in life, he is also the guy who does all of the shipping for our shop. All Things Granny is located in the Southern most part of Arizona, in the desert mountains surrounded by the most beautiful landscape that fuels the design process for my work. Working from home is just part of the dream I call.... Life !!"

Corner Gallery

Wreck of the Peter Iredale
"I've been an interior decorator working with designers in the San Francisco Bay area, a potter with my work in shows and a gallery in Portland, OR. and am currently a photographer who is beginning to share my work through shows and sales. Originally from the Midwest, I now live in the Pacific Northwest, where I find an endless supply of inspiration. I've lived in or visited most of the US and have traveled to Mexico and Cuba. I'm looking forward to more travel as I get older especially since it allows me to slow down a bit, indulge in my passion, and grow my skills as a photographer. I shoot what inspires me whether it be a macro of a beautiful flower or graffiti on the side of a building. If it draws my attention I try to express what it was that drew me to shoot it. As much as possible my images are as I saw them without manipulation so that what you see is what I saw."

Poofy Dove

Obadiah the owl, original soft sculpture
"I just recently graduated from Miami University in Ohio, with a BFA in painting and printmaking. I love making art, sewing, and being outside. My shop PoofyDove was created as a place to share my whimsical creations. I really love to expand my creative energy over a wide range of materials, so you will see a large range of products offered in my store! I gain my inspiration from a lot of different sources. If I had to choose one thing that has the greatest impact on my art it would have to be God's creation, the natural world around us. I believe that the purest and most profound beauty can be found there. If there is something that you don't see in my store, I would love to do any custom orders and commissions you may have. Also, if you have any questions for me at all I would love to hear from you!"

Cats Meow Art

Lantern, hurricane lamp, stained glass mosaic luminaria, candle holder-RAIN
"I am a photographer, artist, crafter, I cannot stop creating. Here is a little bit about me: My initial interest in art started with drawing and painting ever since childhood which I spent in culturally rich Poland. My first 2 years of college were spent at Vincennes University, Indiana, exploring techniques of drawing, painting and design. A serious interest in photography was sparked with two photography classes I took at VU. That interest was further developed at Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. Ever since college photography remains my mainstay- as a final art piece or as an inspiration for another medium. I cannot contain my desire to create to one type of craft. I love making everything, starting with soft quilted cotton purses as well as completely opposite- marble coasters in wood trays. Currently I am under the spell of glass making. I cannot break the spell of melting colored glass into many different beads and pendants. I plan on selecting many items to feature on ETSY- so stay tuned! I hope to find a good outlet for all my art and craft here-as many artists and craftsman have so far. Thank you! and hope you will visit again!"

burgee studio

Scarlet Macaw Parrot - Paper Bird Handmade Hanging Sculpture
"Based in Woods Hole, MA, Burgee Studio is the work of designer Ryan Schenk. I make decorative objects and room accents that are Modern in design, and meticulously handmade in construction. Cut paper is great, affording the bold colors and simple shapes that I like, while being pleasant to work with too. I keep a small flock of birds above my computer, and enjoy watching them spin around when I'm taking a break from the screen. They also look great in children's rooms, studios, and playrooms. Heck, we have a flock of toucans flying over our dining room table...they go great with our Tord Boontje chandelier!"
