tina francis designs

After a lengthy career as a graphic artist Tina Francis is now happily working in her studio full time creating her visions in clay. She and her husband live in the beautiful countryside of Virginia with their two very cool mixed labs.
Tina's clay sculptures include beads, colorful flowers, mermaids, sun faces and figures for the garden. During the Christmas holidays her studio fills with all kinds of angels. She loves animals so a variety of dogs show up in her work, along with some friendly cats and rabbits. All of her work is hand-sculptured from stoneware and earthenware clays. Glazes are painted on in multiple layers and fired several times. She likes to give each piece, whether a sculpture or a piece of jewelry, its own unique personality therefore no two are ever identical.
Tina loves to make beads so much that they take over the studio! She hand forms beads from clay, glaze, fire them several times and turn them into very intricate or very simple necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Inspired by nature, many beads are made by impressing real leaves, flowers and shells into the clay.

betty's fantasy

Betty's Fantasy is a place where fairies fly and innocence rules over all. A place where you can be yourself and embrace your imagination~ This little habitat is one of many that are made only at Betty's Fantasy. We are the first to offer such a natural design, the idea was born here. There will be others who will try to copy (we hope not..), but they can never capture the quality, love and magic that goes into each piece as it does from Betty's Fantasy. Each piece of rock and wood is naturally gathered on a private shore of magnificent Lake Ontario.

olive brown

olivebrown trys to used recycled materials whenever possible for both shipping supplies & hang tags. she also enjoy reusing thrift store sweaters & any other available items for new creations. as for yarn, she prefer using natural fibers. wool, alpaca, & hemp are some of her favorites. olivebrown has a BFA in fashion design, and has worked professionally in visual display in chicago for a major department store & an italian designer. both her education & work/life experience have shaped her design aesthetic, which consists of simple clean lines; and her color palette, which is usually muted. she tends to design intuitively and lets her chosen fabrics & yarns guide her creations. she am also inspired by: nature, architecture, menswear, utilitarianism... her designs are usually free of extra ornamentation---if it doesn't have a function or purpose, she finds it unnecessary.

pearson maron

"Cloud Factory"
Adam Maron and Quincy Pearson are full time artists and kitsch peddlers. They make work individually and together under the name Pearson-Maron.
Adam creates ceramic and mixed media dioramas depicting his child hood memories in the run down fruit tree laden San Fernando Valley. Many of his sculptures feature images of apocalyptic nightmares that are scattered with cryptids and seasonal holiday characters warning of impending doom.
Quincy is a painter and sculptor who is interested in the suburban pastoral and the broken heart. Her work explores the problematic point where nature and the suburbs collide with narratives that include anthropomorphic animals as eco-revenge warriors.
Adam and Quincy are married and live in Southern California with their daughter and three mean cats.

Carolyn Kaler, of Magical Brush Paintings, resides in North Carolina & paints mostly in acrylic. She leans towards a lot of texture and trying to not be as detail oriented as she usually is. Earlier paintings were done in watercolor, most of them are in private collections or on slides.
This mermaid, done in textured acrylic metalics, is one of my favorites that she has done (so far). I hope she inspires you!
